Description

Adidas tennis racket - Adidas Barricade 2

  • The Adidas Barricade 2 tennis racket is a lighter a version of the Adidas Barricade 2 Tour tennis racket.
  • Its 16/19 string pattern means it is an excellent tennis racket for the more competitive players.
  • The Adidas Barricade 2 uses the Integrated Energy System (iES). This puts the energy at the centre of the frame where it's most needed.
  • Dense 3K carbon fibres at 3'oclock and 9'oclock on the tennis racket gives the Adidas Barricade 2 additional power and control by increasing the frame's stiffness.
  • The innovative adiGrip provides a soft feel, increased vibration and dampening to the tennis racket by using extra cushioning.
  • The racket is made of 100 per cent carbon graphite.

In the 1970's Ilie Nastase used an Adidas tennis racket with lots of success, winning the US Open and French open and reaching the final of Wimbledon.

As Adidas does not pay any top ATP or WTA players to use their rackets, it's you who benefits. You are able to buy their high quality rackets at much lower prices than similar models produced by competitors. Adidas rackets are high quality branded products at a low price!

The barricade 2 is designed for the more accomplished player. The 300g is lighter than similar rackets but is well suited to an accomplished baseliner who prefers the lighter racket for volley control. Balanced very slightly to the head, the racket allows the player to generate enough head racket speed for good topspin. Go for lower string tension to get the most out of the racket unless power is not an issue for you.

Easily the best of the 3 the Barricade felt like a proper racket & suited my game the best. The racket was very well balanced & had plenty of power from the baseline however the strings in this model do not match the high level of the frame & gave a trampoline feel specially on volleys & touch shots . Out of the 3 this would be the one I’d be tempted to purchase but I’d upgrade the strings without a doubt.
