Tennis balls have prescribed properties
For tennis balls, there are prerequisites for size and weight that must be followed as prescribed by the ITF. The diameter of tennis balls should be 6.54 cm with a maximum of. 6.86 cm. A ball must not be lighter than 56.0g and not be heavier than 59.4 grams. The colour of tennis balls should be white or yellow. Exceptions are of course the Stage tennis balls, but we will explain this later.
