With 2009 almost finished, its a perfect time to look back and give you more information about the progress of TennisPlanet.

January 2009

* We started our improved return procedures. Our customers have the right to send back/change items if they don’t like them , or if the size is too small of too big for example. Now, instead of sending it back to us we provided you with the service that we pick up any items to be returned at your preferred address.

* We started to sell the first adidas adidas tennisrackets;

* we started with our TennisPlanet UK company (see http://www.tennisplanet.co.uk); the UK is an important tennis nation and we see it as key in continuing to expand our business.


February 2009

* From now on, everyone can see the stock availability of our assortment online. You see directly if we can supply you the item right away, or if not you will see the expected delivery time. If in stock we can supply the goods to you within 48 hours.

* As you probably know the TennisPlanet has her back office (phone & email service) outsourced at a customer care center Call IT in Oostende. From Oostende we serve our customers from the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France , from now on providing native speakers in all the above languages. For our German and Austrian customers we have another customer care office in Germany.

* We have started with TennisPlanet Iberia (Spain/Portugal) please (see http://www.tennisplanet.es/); with world class players such as Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco, Spain is a real tennis minded country.

* Our e-newsletters  have been given a really big facelift , giving clients who have registered or ordered with us the chance to benefit from unique special offers.


March 2009

* Some really important SEO (Search Engine Optimalisation) features were integrated into the TennisPlanet websites. From now on you will find it easier to locate us through Google search engines;

April 2009

* the first adidas tennis balls, the adiTour xP (pressurized), became available. In Belgium alone more than 30 clubs started to play with this tennis ball in April 2009; all reactions on the playability were unanimously excellent.
* The expectations for 2010 will be that more and more clubs in Europe will play with the adidas tennis balls. Also adidas trainer balls adiComp XL are now available to you (since October 2009).

May 2009

* TennisPlanets  International warehouse is in Eindhoven (the Netherlands); daily all orders from our customers in more than 8 countries are processed here. In May we made some large improvement in our warehouse so it now works faster and more efficiently. The incoming and outgoing orders are processed more rapidly now, which means the goods are with you earlier than before.

June-July 2009

* More than ever, our TennisPlanet websites are our highest priority. We started to work with another specialized web firm (Orbid in Merelbeke, Belgium), who can service us on a higher level than our previous supplier. Orbid will supply us with the required tools and applications we need (like SEO, SEA, conversions etc) moving forward-which enable us to improve our service levels to you, our clients.

August - September 2009

* a 100% safe and reliable online payment application was integrated into our websites. Through co-operation with Ogone (and Orbid) our customers can now pay through Visa / MasterCard / Bancontact / MrCcash f.e. Our TennisPlanet websites are now '3D Secure' = highest level of safety.

* As you probably know TennisPlanet is not only active in the U.K. so we also integrated country specific payment terms like 'Maestro' for our customers from the UK and ‘Sofort’ for Germany.

October 2009

* we started with a new design of our TennisPlanet homepages for all countries, from now on we would use straight squares, 6 boxes (information/links), new pictures and more product movies/videos.
* We started with our adidas competition tennis ball actions

November 2009

* Until October 2009 we worked with several transporters to send the goods to our customers (like GLS, TNT, UPS, DHL). Each country had is own transporter. As you can imagine it was not easy to combine their software with ours. In November 2009 we made an agreement with UPS, that our customers through all of Europe would get their ordered goods through UPS. A reliable , massive carrier with a superb reputation all over the world.
* Also adidas trainer balls adiComp XL became available now.

December 2009

* We have started to optimalize our backorder procedure, and are going to automize our return process .Also we will have more accurate, secure information about the delivery times of ordered goods. Through this improved system we can give our customers far better information much more quickly.

* Also we are going to take some more steps to improve the user friendliness of our website. In January/February you will enjoy some of the first results of our work.
All the subjects mentioned above are 100% dedicated to the service of 1 group of people; YOU, our customers.
We will always do our best to keep the service you receive on the level you demand. Trust us; we will continually aim to improve the service level you receive . TennisPlanet 2010:

* In 2010 a lot of attention will been given to improve our websites. We are of the opinion we can improve!  E.g.. Soon we will have stringing movies available; these movies will teach you how to restring your own rackets!
* New collections
Besides the newest collections of adidas, Nike, Babolat, Wilson, etc, we wish to inform you already about:

• adidas will launch a fantastic new collection of rackets very soon
• TYGER will launch an exciting range of new rackets and bags in February
• Our unique assortment of ERKE (clothes) will be wider, with a men’s collection now available alongside the women’s. Great quality, very fashionable and all at an affordable price
